  1. In the story, Treasure in the Attic, the characters in the past and present faced hard decisions. In the past during the great depression, their great grandma had faced the decision of whether or not she should give her pearl earrings to her friend Anna Snow because they had been in debt and if they had sold the earrings it could of helped them. The problem was that those earrings had been her wedding gift. Then in the present Liz faced the hard decision of whether or not to sell great grandmas pearl earrings to earn the 25 dollars she needs to get the new bike she wanted. The problem for this one was that the earrings were a family heirloom. These were the hard decisions the characters in the past and present had to make.

The characters in the text, “Treasure in the attic” had to make difficult decisions. One decision they had to make was when Liz’s great-grandma had to make the decision of selling the earrings to help her friend economically or keep the family heirloom. As it states in the text, “If I gave her my pearl earrings, Anna could sell them to pay debts. She’d surely do the same for me. But can I? Albert would never approve if I gave away his wedding gift to me.” This states that Liz’s great-grandma has a tough decision to make. Eventually Liz’s great-grandma gave Anna the earrings but did not sell them instead kept them. Anna did not want to sell the earrings because they were valuable to her friend. Another tough decision in the text is when Liz is deciding to sell the earrings or keep the family heirloom. As it states in the text, “ I’d really like the new bike. But… maybe Emma’s right. They are great-grandma’s earrings. Sorry, ma’am, they’re not for sale.” The characters in the text, “ Treasure in the attic” are forced to make difficult decisions.

  5. Decisions can be hard to make sometimes. In the story, "Treasure in the Attic" some important decisions had to be made in important times. In the story, Emma and Liz, the main characters, have to decide to either sell Great-Grandma's earrings for 25 dollars to get a new bike for Liz, or keep them as a memory of Great-Grandma. Their decision was to keep the earrings. Great-Grandma had to decide either to keep her wedding earrings or give them to Anna so she can pay debts. Decisions can be hard to make sometimes.

The characters in the story “Treasures in the Attic” face some tough choices that they have to make. For example Flossie Howards, the great-grandma, had a decision of giving her earings to her friend Anna. This was hard for her because it was a wedding gift that she gave to Anna. But not only did Flossie face hard choices so did Liz and Emma because Liz needed 25 more dollars to get a new bike and a yard sell customer saw the earings was willing to give 25 dollars. Liz could have sold it but didn’t because it was a family heirloom and Liz could get the money somewhere else. In conclusion Flossie,Liz, and Emma all faced hard choices.

  7. In the story ¨Treasures in the attic¨the main characters ,Liz and Emma, are faced with some hard decisions to make. One of the decisions they had to make is that they have to decide whether they want to sell their grandparents things from up in the attic or if they want to keep them. This is a hard decision for Liz because with the money she earns she is going to try to get a new bike but she doesn't want to sell them because they are family heirlooms.

Decisions are hard when you have to decide on important decisions like school decisions or life decisions. In the story “ Treasure in the Attic” Emma and Liz are looking through the attic in Liz’s house so they can sell the stuff and buy new bikes. They found a diary and read it about what happened to their Great Grandma’s earrings. They go to the Snow’s General Store and asks if Mr.Snow, the owner, if he is related to Anna Snow but he said that yes and that he is her grandson. Emma and Liz ask about how Anna Snow was good friends with their great grandmother. A few days later Mr.Snow hands Emma and Liz a envelope that contains the earrings. The envelope was tucked in the back of the store. A yard sale customer comes and asks if she could buy it for 25 dollars. This is when Emma and Liz has to make a decision about if they want to keep it since it is there family heirloom or they can sell it to get money for their new bikes. They decide to keep it since it is their family heirloom. In the end decisions can be very hard on important decisions.

  9. In the text “ Treasure in the Attic “ there were a couple hard decisions that Liz, Liz’s Grandmother, and Emma had to take.First it was the tough decision for the Grandmother to give her friend the earing’s to help her in many different ways .Second of all was going through all of the stuff that was in the attic. They were trying to find money or things they could sell to buy Liz a new bike. It was a hit or miss situation. It is either they got what they needed or they didn’t. They took the right path to Mr.Snow’s shop . Another hard decision is when Mr.Snow found the pearl earring’s and gave it to them. They were doing a yard sale and a customer asked to buy them for $25. That is how much money Liz needed to buy a new bike. But she made the decision to keep the earring’s because they are a family heirloom

Emma said to be looking for a pair of pearl earrings that great grandma forgot your supposed to inherit them. Liz found out that her great grandma had to make a hard decision to sell the earrings to pay her debts or keep them. Emma said “Could hers be the same family that owns Snow’s General Store?” A few days later Mr.Snow gave Liz an envelope and said he found it in the safe inside were the pearl earrings. A yard sale customer asked to buy the earrings for twenty five dollars. Emma said to Liz “But the earrings are family heirlooms! And we don't even know what they're worth. Liz was seized by indecision. Her decision was a hard one but she decided not to. She gave Emma one of the earrings and said she would find another way to make twenty five dollars.

In both the past and the present people were always making decisions. It was the same for Emma and her cousin, Liz. When they were searching through the attic for things to sell at a garage sale, they found a diary of Emma's great grandma. Her name was Flossie Howard. They decide if they should even read the book. They find out that Flossie had a family heirloom, pearl earings. Skip to when The kids go to Snow's general store to meet someone. The owner of this store is Mr White, great grandson of Anna Snow, Flossie's friend. Nervously, the two ask Mr White if he knows anything about Flossie Howard's pearl earings. He said he has heard of the name but doesn't remember where. When the two are at the garage sale, Mr White comes and gives them an envolope with a note and the earings inside. Then a women comes over and asks if she could have the earings for twenty-five dollars. They make a big decision and say no. It is to big of an heirloom to sell.

  14. n the story Treasure in the Attic Liz and Emma were in the attic and they found an old book. What the decisions that they talk about is that when Liz was was reading the old book and when she was reading the old book it said that her grandmother sold her earring. So then they went to the general store. So once they were at the store they told Mr. Snow that if he knew where was the earrings were. So then Mr. Snow said that you should go to the garage sale. So then once they were at the garage sale they told the customer that if they sell here but he said no so they went back to the house and they started to clean up the attic.

In the story ¨Treasure in the Attic¨,Liz and Emma were in the attic.Liz was helping Emma look through the attic to see if they can find anything to sale. Then they found a dairy. So the girls read it.Turn out it was their great-grandma Flossie´s dairy. So Liz read it.Their Great-Grandma give her earrings to her friend/neighbor Anna Snow.To help pay the debt.So the girls think that Anna Snow is relate to the Snow General Store. To ask Mr.Snow if he is relate to Anna, and the girls were right. They were disappoint to find out that there were a lot of Howard at his time.So a few days later they set out the stuff for the yard sale. Then Mr.Snow came he told the girl he found something that belong to Great-Grandma´s.Turn out it was the earrings. Then a customer said they will pay $25 dollars for it.Liz really want the money, but then it was her Great-Grandma so it was part of their heirloom. So they decided not to sale the earrings.

  17. In the story “Treasures in the Attic” two main characters are Emma and Liz, who make decisions on whether to buy a bike or earrings from great-grandma. In the past great-grandma, and Anna Snow had treasures that they had, but left them behind on purpose so that they could be found by others to be given away. Great- grandma had pearl earrings and Anna Snow had a diary about something that happened on October 7, 1936. In the present Emma and Liz are looking for earrings and a diary, but also want a $ 25 bike. When Emma and Liz go to the store to buy they had to make a decision on whether what to get with $ 25. Not finished.
