Trade was important for Yaskul and his family because the money they receive helps them survive. In the article it states “My family must have success at the market tomorrow.” It is also important because Yaskul makes the chinese believe that the lapis lazuli beads were of the utmost importance so he could get some drachms. In the text it states, “ Nervously, I hold out my necklace. I notice the oldest merchant’s eyes light up, and I hear myself tell him how particularly fine these beads are.” This is proof of how trading was important to Yaskul’s family.

  2. Trade was important to Yaskul and his family because it allowed them to make an income and helped them survive. Also Chinese merchants came every year to the marketplace and trading was extremely valuable there. I know because the text states “My family must have success at the market tomorrow.” Also the text states “As I quickly dress I think about how the Chinese caravan arrived last night.” Also in the Chinese point of view the lapis lazuli was worth quite a lot of money. I know because the text states “I notice the oldest merchant’s eyes light up, and I hear myself tell him how particularly fine these beads are.” This is how trade was important to Yaskul and his family.

The trade was important because to Yaskul and his family because thieves took other trades and the chinees could've never came back. In the text it says the chineeses would probably dismiss the trades. The chinees took Yascule lazuli necklace for a high amount and then Yaskul was a trader. The money was important for the family and even for others. That was how important the trade was for him and his family.

  5. Trade is important to Yaskul and his family because they need money for the winter. They might not have another Chinese caravan pass by and so they need to get the money that day or else they might not have it for the winter. In the story it says, “If winter comes early, we may not see another caravan for months, as the snow will close the passes. My family must have success at the market tomorrow.” Yaskul’s trade becomes extremely important because they got robbed. In the text his grandfather says “‘Your stones are now of the utmost importance, our only hope for a successful trade.’” In conclusion, trade is important to Yaskul and his family because they need money.

Trading was a very important thing in ancient history until money came. In the story of “Yaskul’s mighty trade” trade was a very important thing to yaskul’s family in ancient Bactra because when they trade, they get things that they need to survive or things of great value from different places. I know this because in the story it talks about how important trading was to everyone in Bactra, especially for Yaskul’s family. In the story it talks about how other people robbed many precious things to make a successful trade to get precious pearls from China. Yaskul saves the day because he has a necklace of high value, so he uses it to trade and get a good price for things they need. When he trades he has a good price in exchange for the thing he needs and is now officially a trader. In conclusion, trading was a very important thing for people in ancient cities like Bactra.

Trade was important to Yaskul and his family because they needed to prepare for the Winter. It says this in the first paragraph. Also on 123 it says that thieves took most of their goods, however they had a solution. Grandpa gave Yaskul a Lapiz necklace that he can trade for the Drachma. Yaskul made friends with a Chinese trader, Zhang Qian. Zhang trades with Yaskul at the market for a high price that can help Yaskul’s family.

Trading in the lives of people living in the ancient city of Bactra was important because it helped families collect goods. The city of Bactra was a key market for merchants traveling the Silk Road trade route. In AD 110, commerce attracted merchants from east and west to the famous market in Bactra. There were all kinds of goods you can trade for. Such as almonds, tea, elegant ceramics, carved ivory and jade, and the finest Chinese silk. You must know how to price an item so you can get a good trade out of it as Yaskul’s Grandfather explains. Trading was important to the people of Bactra because it helped them get what they wanted and they could also trade other people in markets to get what they want and meet their needs.

Trade is important for the people living in the ancient city of Bactra because when they sell lazuli stones, they get drachm coins. The people make profit out of this or even get stuff they need like clothes, food, yarn, and more goods. People can trade what they have for food and stuff to survive. In the story YaskulÅ› family got robbed of stones and were only left with YaskulÅ› beaded necklace. Than Yaskul traded his stone beaded necklace at a high price. They got a handful of drachms and for them they can survive that, they could get food at markets and help out the family.

Trade was important to Yaskul and his family in ancient Bactra because if winter comes early, they may not see another caravan for months, as the snow will close the passes. So they need to be successful in the market. When Grandfather and Yaskul go to the storage room Yaskuls father is already there looking at all the stuff scattered on the floor and the lapis lazuli stones gone. But earlier Grandfather gave Yaskul lapis lazuli beads. Since they do not have the stones anymore they have to rely on the beads. They first have to convince the Chinese that the stones Yaskul has are the highest quality or they will not get the best price.

Trade was important to Yaskul and his family because they need money to live. Trading was their only source of money. This is why it was so devastating that they had been robbed, and why Yaskul’s stones became so important. I know this because the text states, “Your stones are now of the utmost importance, our only hope of a successful trade.” In conclusion, Yaskul and his family rely on trade to live.

Trade was important to Yaskul and his family because they have to trade as much as they can before winter. If they don’t they’re not going to go months without trading. I know this because in the text it states, “If winter comes early, we may not see another caravan for months, as snow would close the passes.” The text it also states, “My family must have success tomorrow.”
