I would rather have year round school. I want this because your getting the same time off with less crouds, I think it would be more fun to go on trips. My family could go on way longer trips and have way less crouds. That is why I want year round school.Aaron

  2. In my opinion I would prefer a year round schedule because we would get 3 weeks off every 45 days. Also we wouldn’t lose as much information as a 2 month break, so we would learn more efficiently. Another plus is that we would be able to go on vacation without many crowds in the places we are going. One more plus would be that we get 1 month off every month and a half instead of traditional two months off after an entire school year. Finally, I think at least for me it would be easier to transition to a different grade without a summer break, because after being out of school for so long I don;t want to go back, so I think this would help me. This is why I would choose a year round schedule instead of traditional.

  3. I think that the traditional school year is better because if what they say is true about how the year round school year can affect your grades, I’d prefer to actually move on to each grade. Say that your teacher was teaching you something important for a test, then you get 3 weeks off, and when you come back, you will forget everything you learned and get a bad grade on the test, which would effect your report card. Sure, having 3 weeks of not waking early, sleeping late, eating breakfast while watching your favorite show sounds nice, but all that break could possibly affect you when you grow up in many ways. Like, a job that doesn’t pay a lot, thats it I guess. In conclusion, education is the only thing that effects you when you go year round, yet, education is the base of life nowadays. Isaac

  4. 26/2/20 Which is better traditional school year (Aug-June) (2 months off) Year Round (You get 3 weeks off every 45 days) (So one month off every 1 ½ months)
I think a year round school year is better because instead of one huge break, we could have multiple smaller breaks. It would also be better because, one, we would forget less in three weeks than two months. Second, if school is overwhelming at the time you don't need to keep going until you finally get a break for a long time, you only have to wait 45 days after your last break to be able to relax again. Also, I personally like taking breaks in the middle of things, like breaks every 45 days, rather than in between two large things, like two school years. This is why I think a year round school year is better than a traditional school year.

  5. I think that the year round is better. I belive this because we will still be able to remember things that we learned. It’s also not to long of a wait til 3 weeks off. This might mean that at some places it will be less packed because school will still be going on. It might also be good for my family because my sister has a different school break time than I do and we can’t do anything together. It will work out for games too. My sister plays softball and games go during week days too. We will be able to go a cheer her on. My basketball games can be on week days too.

Which is better, traditional school year or year round?
I think that the traditional school year is better than year round. The traditional year allows for a break in between long weeks of school for us to relax, while still not forgetting any classwork. Going to school for 45 days straight in year round would be exhausting, lowering students’ willingness to learn. And, during the three-week break, students would forget most classwork they had done. The traditional system is more common than year round, so students using the year round method who had friends from other schools would not be able to hang out with their friends over break. This is why I believe that the traditional school year is better. Maggie

  8. Which is better: traditional school year (Aug-June (2 months off) or year round (you get 3 weeks off every 45 days) (so 1 month off every 1 ½ months)
In my opinion I would take the year round option. I would take this because I would get to see my dogs more often. Even though they would probably miss me while I am gone I think they would enjoy those three weeks. I think I would enjoy having such long breaks as well and I could rub it in my brothers face. I can already imagine all the fun I could have.

Which is better: Traditional School year, or year round.
Many people from different countries of the world might choose The option of a school that teaches year round. However, the traditional school year is better. One reason why the traditional school year is better is because you don't have too many vacations. In year round school years you have basically 1 month off for every 1 ½ months. If years round school years have this, students will have the benefit of more vacation, but disadvantage of maybe forgetting everything, and the risk that he might stay in the same grade the next year if he doesn’t remember much. However in a traditional school year, they give you 2 months of vacation in total but are separated by 1 or 2 week for certain circumstances and events, and sometimes months. In that way children will not forget or completely forget what they teached them the year before. People might say that year round school year is better because of the overwhelming amount of months and weeks of vacation, but what they don't see or notice is that their children, in those vacations will or might forget all or some of what they learned, and have a very high risk of maybe staying in the same grade the next year. That's why Traditional school year is way better than Year round school years. Traditional school year might be better than year round school year, however for some people year round school years are better, and for a good reason. It all depends on how you see this.

In my opinion, I feel like traditional school is better than year round. The reason I feel this way is that I think that 2 months off is better then 1 month off every 3 weeks. With 2 months off it’s enough to have a break in school and to still remember certain things in school. If I had 1 month off every 3 weeks I would like that much time off but, I will forget what I have learned in school.

I prefer Traditional School year. I think Traditional school year is better because I am more accustomed to it since Traditional School year is what I’ve done for so long. I wouldn’t want 3 weeks off in the middle of the month. Because then I would come back tired, sleepy, and not wanting to learn. 2 months for summer vacation sounds better because we don’t have to go back to school in 3 weeks. Which might be frustrating for some people. Getting 2 months off for summer vacation sounds better because we have more time to practice getting up early for school and do math so we don’t forget what we learned. In conclusion, I think that Traditional Year is better.

I think that traditional school is better because in a regular school year you get only about 20 weeks off from school, that's including weekends. However traditional is about 36 weeks off throughout the whole year. So if you get 36 weeks off you are only in school for 113 days. Also all the way from kindergarten to high school you would get 432 weeks off. Also 3 weeks off for every 45 days is better throughout the whole year because you would only have to go to school for 1 week per month and in regular school you have to go for 3 weeks.

  15. Traditional school is better because I get 2 months off.Which means to me I have a lot of time to focus on my life and other really cool stuff ,for example I have soccer practice every Monday and wednesday. Also every sunday I have a game. That means that I have more of me time and vacation.

  19. I would have to argue that a year-round school sounds like the better choice. One might make the assumption that a traditional school year sounds better but a year-round school year has more pros than cons. Just the fact that they’re uncommon makes a better school. Let’s compare an amusement park for example. If you go during the summer it will be crowded and companies sometimes raise prices in the summer. If you were to go in January it will have less line and will be cheaper. Personally I know the struggle to go to the mountains for snow activities during a regular break because of all the homework but if we went later like in February it would be great. Fewer people, fewer wait. Secondly, public schools around the country let their students forget the curriculum over a two month period but with the year-round school, you don’t forget the learning the three weeks before. So in conclusion, year-round wins.
