What steps did Chad Pregracke take to promote a healthier environment? Use evidence from the text to support your reasoning.

    Chad Pregracke took many steps to promote a healthier environment. One step he took was set out to make a difference. He wanted to rid many rivers of trash, and as it states in the text, “He set out to make a difference, one river at a time, on piece of garbage at a time.” Another step he took to make was make his own organization. With help from over 60,000 volunteers his organization help remove 6 million pounds of trash from many different rivers. As it states in the text, “Living Lands & Waters (His organization) has succeeded in removing 6 million pounds of trash from some of America’s greatest rivers. With the help of over 60,000 volunteers and advocates, Chads organization helped clean up the Mississippi, Illinois, Ohio, Missouri, and Potomac rivers. Chad Pregracke help clean up many of America’s greatest rivers.

    These are the step Chad Pregracke took to help the environment get healthier.When he first notice the litter in the river and land .According to the text,¨It was during this period that Chad began to notice their deteriorating condition.This was due to the accumulation to rubbish and litter on the shorelines.¨ So in Spring 1997,he started to pick up all the trash one river at a time.And when he was at age 23, he started an organization called ¨Living Lands and Waters¨.It was a success,the organization removed 6 million pounds of trash.There was also help from 60,000 volunteers and advocates.They help clean up the Mississippi,Illinois,Ohio,Missouri, and Potomac Rivers.

    In the story Stewards of the Environment, Chad helps his environment by picking up trash in the rivers and making them cleaner. When Chad was 23, he founded a organization to do the job. Science 1997 his organization has succeeded in removing 6 million pounds of trash.     In the article “ Stewards of the Environment “ the main idea is to save water, and to stop wasting items. We need to save water because of many different things. First Chad noticed this problem when he was in high school going into college. He noticed the problem of all of the trash in lakes near him. So he decided it was time to make a change. Chad had tried to stop things like this. He first went to the government. He did not succeed so he got a job and succeeded. He removed 6 million pounds of trash from America's greatest rivers. He also got help from 60,00 people.With Chad’s Organization had help many different places in the U.S.

For example Chad was very close to that river and while he was attending school he noticed that the river was getting in bad condition because of all the rubbish and litter in the river.   6. In the story “Stewards of the Environment” it tells about a boy in illinois named Chad. When he was growing up in Illinois he had lived near the Mississippi River and he never really took into recognition that there was trash in the river. But when he finally realized it the deteriorating condition of the river, he finally decided to try and fix it. He tried asking government agencies if they could do anything but they didnt do anything so he took it into his own hands. He then started his own organization to help clean the many amazing rivers in our world. He was able to get more than 60,000 volunteers and they were able to remove 6 million pounds of trash from from the Mississippi, Illinois, Ohio, Missouri, and Potomac river. Because of Chad’s organization efforts to clean the rivers they are now cleaner and they will keep working hard to clean the rivers of our world.

    In the story Stewards of the Environment Chad pregracke the main character tryed to do a difference when he noticed garbage in the ocean. First step chads thought was to try to get the government agencies to something about this problem. The agencies failed to step up for the problem. Since the agencies didn’t step up Chad at age 23 started an organization and named it Living Lands and Waters. It succeeded in removing 6 million pounds of trash. The second step was more people started to join his organization to help clean up. At the end Chad had more than 60,000 of volunteers. Finally, the people helped clean up the Mississippi, Illinois, Ohio, Missouri, and the Potomac Rivers.

Chad loved to visit rivers on the Mississippi and illinois over a few summers and just like that he had noticed that rivers started looking like a unhealthy rivers. When the government had turned him down about helping the river he built the own organization with nearly thousands of people volunteering to help. From there on the business grew and grew and the trash got smaller and smaller. ¨living lands and waters had succeeded in removing 6 million pounds of trash from some of America's greatest rivers¨. Chad worked hard to accomplish his goal which was helping the environment.

During summers, he was also a barge hand on mississippi and illinois rivers. Its was during this period that chad began to notice their deteriorating condition. While attending school Chad would see the river getting dirtier every time he’d past by. The first step in 1997, he set out and began to pick up garbage. Chad thought he’d call the government agencies and told them about the problem about the rivers but, the government didn’t do anything. At age 23, Chad’s second step, he decided to found his own organization to fix the problem. In 1997, the organization removed 6 millions pounds of trash. With all the volunteers help they cleaned up the Mississippi, Illinois, Ohio, Missouri, and Potomac rivers. These are the steps that Chad took to keep the rivers clean and not dirty.
