Charlebois says if they don't change the house back to its original color, then they would have to move out. In story “How Tia Lola Came to Visit,Stay” the theme is Common ground.Common ground mean finding with others helps people get along in spite of their differences. For example in the beginning the team needs a place to practice Baseball. Then the team ask Colonel if they could use part of his property to practice baseball. In the middle of the story Tia Lola paints the Colonel house bright purple she believes that her and the Colonel share an understand. Charlebois may evict them because Tia Lola painted the house bright purple. In the end the uniforms and pennant help the Colonel feel part of the team. In the story they both find common ground.
