  3. Giselle,
As I opened the ancient treasure chest, I was shocked to discover all of the coins and jewelry. When I saw all of it I wanted to take it, and spend all of the coins. But I knew I should not take it because it was ancient treasure and it was not mine. I really wanted the coins but I knew if I took them I would feel really bad. After that I left and never came back.

In total shock and confusion, I woke up, and saw the plain and long dessert , right in front of me. I was supposed to go to Italy, with my dad, who was an archaeologist, but apparently, he had other plans in mind. I did have some interest in going to Egypt, because of the tombs and the many temples and other structures that remain to be discovered. I wanted to do that, if we could, after going to Italy, but, we went to Egypt first. “Why did we come here first dad,” I asked. “Didn’t you hear, the treasure we were looking for in Italy is already rediscovered, so we went to find another treasure here, where we originally came from.” I did know that we came from Egypt , and it did feel good being here, actually I felt as if this place was my home, in other words, I felt comfortable here. Later, after asking many travelers and archaeologists where the valley of the kings was, We came to the start of the valley of the Kings. Recently, scientists discovered that there was treasure in the valley of the kings. Of course there was treasure there, it was the tombs of the kings where they rested. In Ancient Egypt, the pharaohs and kings were buried in a sarcophagus, along with treasures and riches, so that they can spend all that in the afterlife. When we found the place were the scientist discovered the mummy with the treasure, we digged further in because we knew, after much research , that there was more than only that section of the ruins of a temple, full with riches. When we found the entrance to the temple, we explored even deeper into it and found a bunch of treasure, but there was a treasure chest that caught my attention. As I opened the ancient treasure chest, I was shocked to discover a shadow box with pictures of a king. A shadow box is a box that supposedly contains a shadow of a certain person. This one belongs to ramses the second. The shadow was the most important part of the five spiritual things that a human, up to a god contains. This was one of the most important discoveries that we have made. My dad and I decided to tell other scientists what we discovered. This was a great day, and this was way better than going to Paris just to see the Eiffel tower. All the treasure was put into a museum and , my dad and I, went home to tell our adventures in the dessert.

The column trembled and dust was knocked in my face. Camden stood to the side of me with his lamp and headlight on his helmet. We squeezed our way through the cramped passages. All nine months of studies led up to this. It was amazing how this giant rock triangle held so many secrets.
“I think I found it,” yelled Camden.
The yell echoed throughout the pyramid with no stopping. The rock shifted and moved. Lemon sized chunks of rock rained from the ceiling. We panicked and yelped. I ducked down as quickly as I could.
Traveling through Egypt, we had gone through many dust storms but this was on another level. Millennia-old dust consumed our lungs and bruises formed on our arms. When all the rocks cleared we coughed out the dust.
The treasure was on the other side of a wall we had no idea about. The architects behind this masterpiece had truly thought of everything. Even historians who were almost certain they knew where the treasure was had been stumped by Egypt’s great minds. I advanced to unlock the vault of treasure with the key we found in the other room.
With one turn of a key, we knew the nine months had been worth it. As I opened the ancient treasure chest, I was shocked to discover the arrow. The cause of King Tut’s death was encased in gold and all kinds of shiny jewels.
According to our studies, King Tutankhamen had been killed but no one knows how. There it was in all it’s glory, shimmering under our headlights. Under the arrow stood ancient inscriptions and gold coins.
I looked at Camden and said, “You know what this means?”
He looked at me and said, “This reminds me of when I tried archery in Mexico, I didn’t habanero.”

  6. As I opened the ancient treasure chest, I was shocked to discover that someone stole most of the contents. I knew that someone had to serve justice, and I was more willing than anyone else. I knew the best way to find the suspect was to interrogate people in the area. I asked someone who looked like a security guard but I didn’t fully know, I asked “Did you by any chance see someone carrying suspicious items?”
They told me, “No, I did not see anyone who could have stolen the jewels.”
I thought to myself how did he know it was jewels? I knew I had to figure this out. I decided to talk to the police and see if they could test fingerprints. When the results came back I knew who it was. It was the security guard. Now that I helped the police recover the contents they agreed to give me a third of them. From that moment on I lived a rich man.

  7. My jorney begins at the Pharaoh's creek. I wanted to find the Pharaoh's tresure. I was giving a map from someone. As I read it, it told me to go to Pharaoh's creek. I started my journey and walked there. There was many obstacles like crazy animals, werid things, and rocks and everthing on the floor. It was had to go up hill with everything but I made it. The next place was to go through Vilin Vil. That wasn’t as hard because everyone there is so nice. After there I headed for saint cloud. Than to Water Forest and lastly I made it to Pharaoh's town. It was a fun jorney and I was happy to finally be at Pharaoh's town. As I got up to the mountain I saw a chest. It must be the Pharaoh's chest so I walked to it to open it.
As I opened the ancient treasure chest, I was shocked to discover the secrets that it contained. It contained the Pharaoh's secrets that he kept from the world thinking no one would find out. As I took one of the pages to read it started to fade away from being old. I had to be careful with them. I put all the papers gently in my bag. As I turned around to go back home something happened. An acorn fell from the tree and landed in the tresure chest. It hit something hard and I knew that I had missed something. "What could it be" I thought to myself.
I peered into the chest and saw something strange. It wasn't anything but it was a small box. I took the box and opened it. Inside was a beautiful necklace and ring. It also had coins. After I left and went home I droped off the papers at a museum. They had to know the truth too. They saw it and reward me with some money. That was the end of my journey.

  8. As i opened the ancient treasure chest, I was shocked to discover the old powerful staff. I was so tempted to take it and i was thinking of how rich I could be. I knew it was not left there for me so I left it there untouched. I left tempted to go back and take it I knew that was not the right thing to do. I am proud of myself for doing a good deed and even though it was very tempting to go back and get it i left it there.

“Diana! It’s time to go!” answered my father, Miguel. With the box holding my things in my arms, I stepped into the car and saw our house slowly drifting away. My father just got a job as an archaeologist, studying a mysterious temple in the middle of nowhere. They promised to pay him a large amount of cash if he agrees. He was always fascinated with old artifacts and got a degree in archaeology. A couple weeks ago he told me the news. “Can you believe it? A hundred bucks an hour! I know we just moved here two months ago but, please mija the job I have here barely gives us enough cash to put food on our plate.” He did have a good point, so I agreed. I started to doze off in the car, snuggling with my pet dog, Rosa. After an eternity, we finally arrived. I looked outside, it was all dry, and not a single piece of grass showed through the dirt. Then, suddenly a large truck came over. Inside there was a lady. “Are you the new archaeologist?” she asked. My dad shouted a yes to the lady. She told us that she was supposed to take us the rest of the way. She placed our car inside the truck along with the rest of our stuff. As we stepped in the truck, I felt the cool air conditioning through the hot heat. The lady’s name was Lily and she was really nice. As she and my dad were talking, I started reading a book to Rosa. Finally we made it. I stepped outside and saw a whole, new different view then before. Everything was green, with tall trees swaying against the wind. With my dad and Lily talking and taking down our things from the truck, they were not paying much attention to me. Suddenly, Rosa started to run away. “Rosa! Come back!” I yelled. I knew I had to get her myself. I saw her running straight into a cave. I followed right behind her. Inside I finally caught up with her. Right next to her was an old treasure chest. As I opened the ancient treasure chest, I was shocked to discover a ball of light inside it. In the ball of light I saw a picture of my mom. My mom’s name was Maria and she died three years ago. It felt really nice to see her face again. I held a large bag of marbles. It was about the same weight. I carefully switched the marbles for the chest. With Rosa and the chest in my arms, I ran all the way back. I saw Lily and my dad. “Phew” I thought. “That was a close one.” I started panting after all the running. “Are you okay mija?” said my dad. I stared at the chest in my arms. “Yeah,” I answered. “Never been better.”

As I opened the ancient treasure chest, I was shocked to discover it’s only content was a map! The map had directions to a secret room in the temple to where all the valuables were stashed. I made my way down long and tricky halls with traps hidden. It was a huge maze! I dodged bear traps, moving spike balls, and jumped deadly ground spikes that could’ve killed me. It was getting dark, so I lit my torch and tried to find the hidden room. After what seemed like an eternity, I found the hidden room. I hit one of the bricks on the wall, and a door opened. Inside the room was a mountain of gold, jewelry, and trophies. I was so caught up in excitement that I didn’t even wonder how I was gonna take this all home. I called my family for help and gave them directions to find the room I was in. One by one, we took each item out and loaded it in the truck. We didn’t have room for it all, so we got another truck and loaded the rest of the stuff in there. I promised I would share the treasure with them! We drove home while thinking of all the possibilities that we could do with the money. I had a few things in mind! (games of course)

As I opened the ancient treasure chest, I was shocked to discover that it was filled to the brim with treasures such as gold and jewelry, but also half of it seemed to be filled with sweet treats? Curiously, Xadra reached for it. Her eyes had become cloudy and distant. I grabbed her arm. "Remember, don't touch any of it. The Museum of Arceus are supposedly the only people who can touch the treasure without the curse effecting them, since its meant for them. That's what the Old Scripts say." I warned. She nodded. "Of course. I.. don't know what I was thinking.." She muttered. We shut the treasure chest with a loud THUMP! Carrying it very carefully, we got it to the van and put it in the back. It was so big it took up almost the entire back of the van. The entire car ride back, Xadra kept glancing back to the chest with that distant took. When we got back to the museum, I got out the car to get some staff. They had gloves on just in case anything inside the chest was harmful to humans. I opened the back..and the chest was gone! Who could have done this?! I looked around for Xadra and was horrified to realize she was gone. Did she take it? A loud yelp ripped all our attention from the empty truck. Everyone rushed over to Shed B, a large mostly unused shed for the museum. Xadra was looking at the open chest. "Xadra!" I yelled. She whipped around, realization dawning in her eyes. "Did you touch any of it!?" One of the staff asked. Xadra shook her head. "No I just..I dont know what came over me, Im sorry-" She started, but one of the staff let out a relived sigh. "Its no worries. It seems the curse has decided to be a trickster again. Anyways, thank you both for your help. We will be in contact to give you two a reward for your efforts." The staff girl said, getting some others to help her pick it up. "Huh? Reward? Hey wait, we cant except that!" Xadra said. The staff girl thought. "Please allow us to at least give you two financial aid. You two are attending school, correct? Then allow us to pay all fees." She said. After some back and forth, it was decided we would get half financial aid. Getting home, Xadra and I were tired out after all the events, so we got some well needed rest.

As I opened the ancient treasure chest, I was shocked to discover all the treasures that were inside. When I saw it I thought I was having the best dream ever. I couldn't believe all the riches there were. Just then I heard some footsteps coming in my direction. When I was looking for somewhere to hide I saw his foot entering. Then he stopped to look around. I tried to think fast what to do. He was about to look at my derivation then he ran to the corner just in time, that he didn't see me. I was trying to think what to do. I didn't want him to take all the treasure. So I ran up and grabbed the treasure even though it was really heavy and I ran as fast as I could. I couldn't see him at first then he was right in front of me. I barely reacted fast enough. To run around him and get out of there safe. Derek
